COORDINATION & PLANNING FOR EPIC WEDDINGS, PARTIES & EVENTS

Hello, I'm April (the founder of Kook), it's nice to meet you!

 

I live and breathe events, love being creative and solving problems, and have so much fun getting to know our amazing clients! It's my personal mission to make your wedding or party an epic, fun celebration that you and your guests will LOVE.

 

The best thing about my job is seeing people doing things in their own way, creating an event which celebrates their personality and unique style. It really is all about YOU, it's your day and it can be whatever you want it to be! I find it so exciting how people are moving away from cookie-cutter white weddings or black tie-parties, and doing something which actually fits their own style and interests.

A bit about me? I've worked in the events industry for over 9 years, planning both private and business events. I also spent over two years as a visual merchandiser/stylist in the fashion industry, working with brands such as Coggles, Topshop (RIP!) and Paul Smith.

 

 When i'm not planning and coordinating my clients' awesome events I can usually be found doing any of the following activities:

 

• Chilling in a coffee shop - probably with a flat white and some form of sweet treat!

• Stroking cats - mainly my little ginger Scottish Fold cat, Mungo. (I do love dogs too though)!

• Lusting over mid century furniture, Scandi homewares and unusual vintage finds on the internet.

• Curling up on the sofa listening to a record, watching a good TV series/documentary or scrolling through Instagram.

• Going to see live music (coming up in the diary is Yeah Yeah Yeahs, John Grant, Kurt Vile, Arcade Fire and Future Islands!)

• Indulging in a spot of retail therapy (current favourites include Space NK, Lazy Oaf, Monki and Studio Arhoj).

• Getting out and about exploring new corners of the world with my husband, Jon
